Glastonbury Abbey. The abbey was dissolved in 1539 and the abbot hung, drawn and quartered. for resisting the King's authority. Had the building survived it would rival Canterbury cathedral in size.

The building is open for anyone to walk around in?

No, it’s fenced off so no access except up to the fence. As for the rails, I’m not sure what happened to them.

There was a market that day and I walked up to the fence and took a few pictures. But usually it's completely closed off.
