Welcome to GOSH, our Go Out and SHoot challenge!

This challenge will run for 2 weeks and the idea is to go out (or stay in) and shoot new material for it. So no images from the archives for this one.
As this is a personal challenge the winners are those that go out and shoot. That’s what this challenge is meant for: to motivate us to pick up the camera and take photographs. The themes are chosen via a poll.

The outcome of the last poll is that we have two winners, so we're good for GOSH #6 and #7.

>>> The theme for GOSH #6 = Minimalism

Minimalism is a style that focuses on extreme simplicity. Its core philosophy is "less is more," aiming to strip away distractions and lead the viewer's eye straight to the essence of the image. Instead of capturing a busy scene, a minimalist photographer uses a few key elements to create a powerful, often meditative impact.

Key Elements:
  • Negative Space: Using large, empty areas to isolate the subject and provide "breathing room"
  • Single Focal Point: A strong emphasis on one lone subject to create clarity and calm
  • Geometric Lines & Shapes: Using clean lines and simple structures to build a balanced composition
  • Limited Colour Palette: Often featuring monochromatic tones to reduce visual noise

That's it. Let's have fun shooting minimalism!

Rules (we can add them as we go along and we think they're necessary)
  • Shots need to be taken within the period the challenge runs, so no images from the archives!
  • Any camera is allowed: DSLR, mirror-less, fixed-lens cameras, film cameras, phones, all are welcome
  • You can post as many images as you like
  • Likes and discussion are very welcome; the more the merrier.

Not really a picture, but a bit of messing around with Paint.

Well, this sort of got off the radar. I had planned to shoot some tabletop stuff for it but I've been crazy busy.

So how about I keep it going for a few more days, until let's say Saturday. Then I'll put the next one up. If nobody objects that is...
