Detroit Edison (electric) power plant being razed
set to be blown at 8am. in november so it was kind of cold and dark. the road i set up on, was a prime spot for spectators and there were several people there from what i believe was a camera club. a lady had her camera on a tripod (i RARELY shoot from a tripod) and she was flitting back and forth with her friends and talking about maybe using a polarizing filter or something else (i wasnt really paying that close attention to what she was going on about) and i heard a radio from one of the 'safety workers' (he had a vest and hard hat on) a call out for 5 or 10 seconds.... the lady was still wandering around not really paying attention.
at 8am, not 8:00:01, not 7:59:59, there was a little bit of a flash of light and then a boom and then multiple booms and down it came. building had been built in 1922 and was imploded in 2015. she didnt get any pictures except something similar to my last one

Interesting construction. What is it? And why all the different levels with platforms? I have to say though, it's quite photogenic.

Just a guess, but I think it's a scaffolding to build something on the round platform to the right.
