Playing around with FD lenses on T7i

Fun to try every once in awhile, but EF lenses are so much easier! I was basically using the Sunny 16 rule for these. I sure wish the digital cameras had a split image focuser. Would make manual so much easier.

Old lenses are fun to play with. I tend to get the most interesting results when shooting in bright sunlight or backlit images. They are usually much less flare resistant than modern lenses so the "imperfections" can add unique character to an image that would be otherwise boring.

For the Rebel you'll need an adapter with focus confirmation, but you can't go to infinity with FD lenses.
With mirrorless we have focus peeking, and fd lenses that focus at infinity.
