Much better. They (generally) save the toes, but don't have metal to bend and trap toes.

My right shoe has gone east , while my left shoe is still in the west . Crossing the meridian. Sadly the super comfortable Jacoform shoes are no longer in production, but hopefully a new manufacturer will be found.

my dad shot a photo of my mom standing one foot in east germany and one foot in west germany, on one of our family trips to europe. thought for sure, there would be a plate in the row of bricks saying 'location of the berlin wall' (or whatever it says exactly)
