i know the reflection off the windows is NOT what is putting light on the foreground but to an untrained eye, one could think that was the case! i like it in part because of that!

That is a very beautiful house! Built in 1768 it has been well cared for. I Googled "The Sheppard House in Beaufort, NC" which came back as:

I took a picture of BlackBeard's house a couple years ago that is located on Hammock Ln., but can't locate it that image. Next time I'm over that way I'll take another.
